Bequests & Planned Giving

A bequest or planned gift may be the most significant donation a person makes in a lifetime, one that can have a huge impact. We appreciate your willingness to consider including the Auckland Zen Centre in your financial planning. There are many ways to leave a legacy. You may be able to:
  • Name the Auckland Zen Centre as a beneficiary in your will or trust
  • Create a special endowment grant from a foundation, charitable trust, or donor-advised fund
  • Donate appreciated properties, securities, stocks or real estate
  • Make an outright cash gift
  • Donate vehicles or works of art with good present-day value
When you are ready to make definite plans, contact your legal, financial and tax advisors. A sample codicil is available at the bottom of this web page, which may be used if you have an existing will and would like to change or add to it.

You will need the following information for your lawyer:

Legal Name: Auckland Zen Centre
Postal Address: P.O. Box 109729, Newmarket, Auckland 1149
Physical Address: 52 Princes St, Onehunga, Auckland 1061
Telephone: (09) 550 4383
Charitable Trust number: CC20537

If you decide to include the Auckland Zen Center in your estate planning, please inform the Treasurer at Auckland Zen Centre, whose name and contact email address may be found here.

Living Will

Below is a template which may be of help when creating instructions for your family and friends about how they could assist your dying process and what you would like to have at your funeral.

If you are a member of the Centre you may also wish to leave instructions for your funeral arrangements at the Centre, along with a large photograph. Please feel free to discuss these matters with Sensei when you are ready.
