Our Zen practice is not confined to the meditation hall - ideally, our practice is one with our daily life and our everyday environment. Our urban retreats and one-day sits both offer a chance to deepen practice in our ordinary urban environment, without leaving Auckland.
The Autumn One-Day Sitting will be a chance to relax, refresh and refocus your practice
It is suitable for beginners, as well as for people needing to renew their sitting practice, or to make a fresh start in their lives. Solid blocks of zazen with dokusan (one-to-one with the teacher) interwoven with the body-mind disciplines of yoga, qigong and yoga nidra (deep relaxation), led by Ven. Hanya Gallagher.
