Roshi Amala Wrightson
Amala-roshi is the teacher and Spiritual Director of the Auckland Zen Centre. Along with her husband, Richard von Sturmer, Amala-roshi founded the Auckland Zen Centre in 2004. You can read more about Amala-roshi and the Rochester lineage here.

Richard von Sturmer
Richard is the Auckland Zen Centre Manager and is responsible for the everyday running of the Centre. He organizes the weekly sittings, retreats, workshops and ceremonies.

Robin Gardner-Gee
Robin has been working at the Centre since 2016 and held the Centre manager role 2020 to 2021. She is now based in Christchurch, but continues to look after the bookkeeping remotely. Contact Robin if you have any enquiries about tax receipts or other accounting matters.
